Dr Cohen has an Applied Biology Degree (1985) and a doctorate in Immunology (1989). She has worked as a scientist and lecturer in prestigious institutions around the world [including Addenbrookes' Hospital (Cambridge), The Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology (London), The Mount Sinai Hospital (New York) and The Royal Postgraduate Medical School (London)].

In 2001 Dr Cohen left academic science to establish Euroscicon Ltd (and is still its Managing Director) and in 2005 she founded the popular science portal - www.mumsinscience.net (and is currently the CEO). Additional work includes being an Independent Scientific Advisor; for example she is on the Scientific Advisory Board for Cordlife Pte Ltd, Singapore (for advisory board click here). She listed in the Whos' Who in Medicine and Healthcare and The International Who's Who of Professionals. Her most recent project is the establishment of Honnao, a publishing company dedicated to 21st century issues
